Niagara-on-the-Lake’s Trusted Premium roofing partner

Preserving NOTL’s architectural history with specialized heritage care, sustainable revival, and premium wood roofing solutions.

Navigating NOTL Heritage Standards with Ease

Whether your home is a designated property in the Old Town Heritage Conservation District or a modern estate in St. Davids, we understand that a roof is a critical heritage attribute. The Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake has strict guidelines for materials and configurations. We specialize in period-accurate cedar shake and shingle work that satisfies local heritage committees while providing modern protection.

Take advantage of Niagara-on-the-Lake Heritage Grant system

JD Wood Revival is familiar with the system and can help you secure up to $7,500 in grants.

Battling the Lake Ontario Effect

Niagara-on-the-lake properties within 5km of the shoreline face 15% higher humidity than inland homes. This ‘Lake Effect’ moisture accelerates moss, lichen, and algae growth that can rot wood shingles from the inside out.

Our proprietary cleaning and preservation system is designed for the Niagara climate. We remove organic growth without high pressure, then apply a breathable treatment that allows the cedar to shed moisture naturally.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This team did an excellent job of our cedar shake replacement roofing. We worked with Bernie Vanravensbergen on other projects and once again he and his team of roofers were professional, courteous and efficient! Herman was helpful with the office services. Highly recommend JD WoodRevival

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had an excellent experience with JD Woodrevival. We have a 14 year old cedar roof and it was very hard to find a company with expertise. The team provided timely updates on the project and ensured we understood costs along the way. The roof looks brand new and we now have a plan for maintenance that allows us to keep our roof looking beautiful for its long life. I would recommend this team to others. Great to deal with.
