Location: Kitchener, Ontario
Service: 13 blocks of residential units – Cedar Shingle Revival
Material: Natural Western Red Cedar
Result: A Neighborhood of Cedar Roofs Revived
The Challenge
Managing cedar roof maintenance across a large residential complex requires more than a one-time treatment — it demands a structured, multi-year approach to ensure every unit receives consistent care. With 13 blocks of units in Kitchener, the scale of this project called for a reliable process that could be applied systematically without compromising quality from one building to the next.
The Solution
JD Wood Revival is working through the complex in phases from 2025 to 2028, cleaning and applying preservative to each block in turn. As with every project, cleaning comes first – no preservative is applied until the cedar surface is fully cleared and ready to accept treatment. The half-cleaned photo below shows the difference a proper clean makes before a single drop of oil goes on. Working at this scale is something the JD Wood Revival team is built for.
