Location: Fort Erie, Ontario
Service: Custom Cedar Shingle Installation – New Construction
Material: Natural Western Red Cedar
Result: A European Estate Roof Built to Match the Architecture
The Challenge: A Roofline That Demanded Precision
This custom-built estate along the Niagara River isn’t a standard build by any measure. French Chateau-inspired architecture, curved dormers, multiple steep peaks, and a standing seam metal turret – every section of this roofline demanded a different approach. For the cedar portions, there was no margin for error.
The Solution: Cedar Installation on One of the Most Complex Rooflines We’ve Worked On
- New Construction Install: Starting fresh on a custom build like this means setting the standard from day one. Every course, every valley, every transition had to be executed cleanly.
- Complex Geometry: Curved dormers, intersecting pitches, and tight valleys required experienced hands and a methodical approach.
- Material Harmony: The cedar was installed to complement the standing seam metal elements – two premium materials working together on a property built to impress.
A few years later, the cedar has settled into its natural silver patina – right across the road from the Niagara River. It looks exactly like it was always meant to be there.
